STNR.TV Creator Handbook
A fair, transparent, and community-built network for real creators.

- Our Philosophy
STNR.TV was built for creators — not corporations.
We know that most of us are out here hustling, balancing work, life, and our passions. This network is about giving cannabis-friendly and counterculture creators a professional platform without the burnout or red tape.
Our philosophy is simple:
Fair pay for fair work.
Transparency in how money flows.
Community over corporate.
We don’t ask others to give more than we’re willing to give ourselves.
This is a creator-led network, built from the ground up — together.
- What STNR.TV Is
STNR.TV is a Roku-based streaming network featuring cannabis-positive, creative, and community-driven programming.
Our main content categories include:
The Stoned Variety Hour — our flagship show featuring a rotation of creators, musicians, artists, and comedians.
Independent Creator Segments & Shows — original content produced by individual creators or small teams.
ArtSesh & Premium Experiences — paid or curated events like “Puff, Pass & Paint,” but expanded to all forms of arts and crafts.
Live Channels — launching in mid-2026, featuring scheduled live events, music, and creator showcases.
Every show, clip, and collaboration supports the larger goal: creating a network for creators, by creators — where the culture comes first.
- The STNR.TV Creator System
Creators contribute to the network in three main ways:
- Segment Creator – Provides short 3–10 minute clips for inclusion in The Stoned Variety Hour.
- Independent Show Creator – Produces ongoing short series or mini-shows under their own branding.
- Event / Premium Creator – Creates or hosts larger-scale content such as ArtSesh sessions, concerts, or live events.
Each role supports the growth of the network, and all creators help shape the overall vibe of STNR.TV.
- Payment Model
Community-Based Pay Structure
STNR.TV is currently a community-funded startup network.
That means pay is contingent on ad and sponsor sales at this time.
We are personally funding and producing the core content — out of our own pockets — to establish the network and attract advertisers. The goal is to build a self-sustaining system that allows every creator to be paid fairly without corporate interference or creative control.
As ads and sponsorships begin to sell, payouts to creators will follow the agreed flat-rate model below. Until then, participation helps build both exposure and value in the platform for future monetization.
Flat-Rate Structure (Post-Ad Activation)
Content Type Length Target Payout Description
Micro Segment 3–5 min $150–$200 Short-form content (reaction, art demo, teaching moment)
Standard Segment 5–10 min $300–$400 Variety Hour feature content
Feature / Short Show 10–20 min $500–$600 Recurring or higher-effort productions
Premium / Event Content 20–60 min $750–$1,000 ArtSesh, concerts, and special productions
These rates will activate once the ad and sponsor revenue pool begins generating consistent returns.
Our creators are part of the startup phase — building the foundation and showing brands what our community can create when given a real chance.
- Revenue & Ad Structure
How the Money Works
STNR.TV revenue comes primarily from ads and sponsors, not subscriptions or pay-per-view.
There are three types of ad sources:
Source Description Creator Benefit
Roku Ad Network Ads Ads automatically inserted by Roku Helps fund creator payouts
Network-Sold Ads Ads STNR.TV sells directly to sponsors Used to pay creators and cover costs
Creator-Sold Ads Ads or sponsors secured by the creator themselves Creator keeps 100% of those funds
We don’t gate creators from making their own deals — as long as the content and brands meet Roku and FTC standards, you’re free to include them in your segment.
- Charitable Allocation
From certain shows, the network’s share of revenue is donated quarterly to charitable, community, or creative causes.
This includes:
Cannabis prisoner release and re-entry programs
Creator hardship funds
Local and environmental initiatives
Creators can nominate and vote on where funds go each quarter.
We publish donation summaries publicly to maintain transparency.
- What We Expect from You
Our expectations are simple:
Deliver content on time and in the format agreed.
Maintain compliance with Roku and FTC guidelines.
Be professional and communicative.
Keep content authentic, respectful, and true to you.
We don’t expect perfection — we expect participation and honesty.

- Ownership & Rights
You own your content.
STNR.TV receives a non-exclusive license to broadcast and distribute it.
Typical license term: 12–24 months (renewable).
Optional 30–60 day exclusivity window before reposting elsewhere.
Creators may re-upload their work after the exclusivity period.
We don’t claim your IP — we just help amplify it.
- Multiple-Creator Segments
If more than one creator collaborates on a segment:
STNR.TV pays one lead creator for that segment.
The lead creator divides payment among the group as agreed.
Each group should maintain its own internal agreement outlining roles and shares.
STNR.TV does not split payments or mediate disputes.
This keeps accounting simple and ensures payments are on time.
- Scheduling & Workflow
Standard expectation: 1 segment per month.
Flexible scheduling to accommodate lifestyle and creative flow.
Late submissions aren’t punished — just roll to the next episode.
Communication and consistency matter more than deadlines.

- Final Words
STNR.TV isn’t a corporate media company — it’s a creative collective.
We’re investing our own money, time, and energy into proving that independent creators can build something bigger than themselves when they work together.
Right now, creator pay depends on the ad and sponsor revenue we’re able to bring in, and we’re being upfront about that.
We’re paying out of pocket to get the base shows off the ground because we believe in leading by example — not expecting others to take risks we wouldn’t take ourselves.
As the network grows and advertisers step up, everyone who helped build it will benefit from the foundation they helped create.
This is our start — together.
